Enterprise has been famous for offering heavily discounted weekend rates out of its neighborhood locations. Over the last few years, the rates have been as low as $9.99/day and most recently were at $12.99/day.
These rates can be a great way to save if you need a rental for a long weekend trip, but they aren’t always available. Here is a quick review of the Enterprise weekend deals, how to get them, and some of the caveats you need to be aware of before renting.
Weekend Special Rates – 4 Things to know
There are four primary stipulations with weekend deals from Enterprise:
- They are valid for Friday through Monday rentals
- Participating in neighborhood locations only (they don’t work at airport locations)
- 100 miles per day included
- Offer applies to the base rate (time and mileage) only

Now let’s dig into each of these stipulations a little deeper.
Enterprise “Base Rate”
The advertised rate is not going to be your “all-in” rate. The weekend rate only applies to the base rate (time and mileage). As with any rental, it doesn’t include applicable taxes, fees, surcharges, refueling, drop-off, delivery, youthful driver charges, additional driver, pick-up, or one-way charges, or any optional product or service (such as insurance or optional damage waiver of $50 or less per day).
Additional mandatory charges may be imposed, including, but not limited to a customer facility charge, tourism commission assessment, vehicle license recovery fee, facility recovery fees, or other government-imposed taxes or fees.
Car Classes that apply to the weekend rate
The weekend special offer applies to Economy through Full-Size car rentals. It doesn’t apply to SUVs, premium, luxury, elite, convertibles, performance cars, etc. The good news is that it’s not a rate that only applies to little compact and economy cars. These are legitimate-sized cars that you would normally rent.

Dates and Mileage
This is an important caveat, so please read and pay attention.
Weekend rates are for rentals beginning on Friday and ending the following Monday, meaning you need to rent for 3 days. You can’t rent for just 1 day on the weekend and get this rate, this is a multi-day, weekend rental rate.
Enterprise really should call this the “Enterprise Rent a Car 3-day Weekend Special“, which would be a much more transparent description.
The rate includes 100 miles per day. If you drive over 300 miles (100 miles per day on average) you’ll be billed $0.20 for each additional mile. So if you’re looking to drive a long distance, you may be better off with a standard unlimited mileage rate.
You should definitely check both options to confirm which offers the best deal. Sometimes the regular rate will actually be better when you include unlimited mileage.
Enterprise Car Rental Locations that honor weekend rates
This offer is valid at participating neighborhood locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico when reserved in advance. This rate does not apply to airport locations or walk-up reservations.
