Taking advantage of published Hyatt Corporate Codes and Discounted Corporate Rates is the best way to make sure you’re getting the best value for each dollar you spend on your hotel stays (as long as you are eligible).
In case you aren’t familiar with them, Hyatt Corporate Rates use special codes used to identify the negotiated rate a company has with a hotel chain (in this case, Hyatt) and are entered in a “special rate” field to calculate the reduced rate offered by the hotel.
As long as you’re affiliated with the company in some way (employee, customer, vendor), you can take advantage of these negotiated rates and save a lot of money! Unlike discounts offered through Online Travel Agents (OTA’s) these codes allow you to save money AND still earn World of Hyatt Points.
Hyatt Corporate Codes – The List
The following are some of the most prevalent Hyatt corporate rate codes. If you’re an employee of or are going to visit and do business with one of these companies, you can take advantage of their negotiated rates.
The discount will vary from location to location, and can be up to 50% off rack rates. Consulting firms like Accenture, Deloitte and IBM have a lot of consultants traveling every week so they are going to have some of the best “chain-wide” or “system-wide” discounts. However, many large companies have a lot of visitors and will provide some great rates in their local headquarters vicinity – such as Proctor and Gamble in Cincinnati, General Motors in Detroit or McKesson in San Francisco.

How to Enter a Hyatt Corporate Code and Do They Work?
It’s very easy to determine if a Hyatt Corporate Code is going to provide a discount for you. Just enter the code in the special rate field (pictured below) and your search will reveal if a discount is available at a given property. This is the same field that you can enter a Hyatt Discount Code or AAA Code.
As a general rule, codes that start with a “NC” are nationally negotiated codes that should provide a discount many Hyatt properties. However, most hotels typically only offer a certain number of rooms with corporate discounts, so they aren’t always available.
Hyatt’s Official Policy on Corporate Codes – Do you need to present ID?
Most Hyatt properties would rather sell a discounted room rather than having it sit empty, so they’re fairly lax on asking for ID. However, according to Hyatt’s policy on Corporate Travel, Hyatt does reserve the right to ask for employment verification. Proof of employment may be verified with a business card or company credit card.
As a former Hyatt hotel part owner, I don’t think it’s unethical for people to use these rates as long as they are affiliated with the company in some way. I would much rather have the room sold! However, making fake business cards and gaming the system big time, as some have done, does cross the line.
