Hyatt Hotels Overview

Before we get into the details of the loyalty program, here is a little information about Hyatt Hotels.  Hyatt was founded by Jay Pritzker in 1957 when he purchased the Hyatt House motel adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport.  It was taken public in the sixties, then taken private again in 1982.  In 2009 it was taken public once again and now trades on the NYSE under the ticker symbol H.  Today, Hyatt Hotels Corporation is a global hospitality company with 13 brands and more than 770 properties in more than 54 countries.

Multiple Rooms. A Member may earn points for up to three (3) rooms per night (Member’s room and two (2) additional rooms) within the same hotel or resort. The Member must be a registered guest, occupy at least one of the rooms, and pay an Eligible Rate for all applicable rooms.

  • Get 20,000 miles plus 5,000 miles when you transfer 50,000 points into airline miles.

The table below lists the points required for credits associated with Dining and Spa certificates.  Again – not a good use of points, but an option if you have more points and cash…
