IHG Corporate Codes
IHG Corporate Codes are codes that are used to identify the negotiated rate a company has with IHG and are entered in the “Special Rates” box to calculate the reduced rate. These rates are generally used for employees of the company and may require proof of Corporate ID, but they are also used for consultants, vendors, and customers of the company that has the negotiated rate. The codes offer the best savings and can be up to 40% off the standard rate.
IHG Friends and Family Rate
IHG has a great Friends and Family rate program that is available to everyone and can save you anywhere from 15-30% off the standard room rate. They are the only hotel company that makes using this type of rate easy for anyone to use.
IHG Small Business Program
Small Business Programs are a great way for small companies to get some level of discount for their travel spend with IHG. They don’t offer the deep discounts you’ll find with the Corporate Rates large companies negotiate, but they can still offer some nice savings. IHG has a program called “Business Edge” that provides small businesses discounts of 10% a night. It’s actually not that great of a program. You are better off using the IHG friends and family rate where you can save up to 30%.
IHG Rewards Credit Cards
The quickest way to earn IHG Rewards Points, especially if you are not a road warrior, is through credit card spending and sign-up bonuses. With IHG, you can earn miles through a variety of credit cards – either with a co-branded IHG Rewards Card or with one that offers transfer options to IHG Rewards such as Chase Ultimate Rewards.
