Best Western corporate codes can knock 10-20% off your nightly rate, but they’re not public coupons. Each code is tied to a specific employer, university, or organization, and hotels can ask for proof of eligibility at check-in.

This guide covers the Best Western corporate codes that pass primary-source verification—either Best Western’s own partner pages or the partnering organization’s HR or travel page. You’ll also get a realistic view of what these discounts actually deliver in practice (usually around 10%, not the 25% you’ll see claimed elsewhere), and the better alternatives most readers should reach for first: Best Western Rewards member rates and the Best Western Business Advantage program.

What are Hotel Corporate Codes?

Corporate Codes are negotiated rates between a hotel chain and a specific company, university, or organization. You enter them in the “Corporate Code” field on the booking page, and if you’re eligible, you get the agreed-upon discount plus sometimes a few extra perks like free Wi-Fi or flexible cancellation.

The important word there is “eligible.” Corporate codes are intended for authorized travelers under the organization’s agreement—usually employees, approved contractors, and any other groups the program specifically covers. Hotels can and do ask for proof at check-in, and if you can’t verify, they can reprice your reservation to the public rate.

If you don’t have a legitimate corporate code, skip the guessing game. Best Western Rewards member rates (free to join) or the Best Western Business Advantage program will usually get you better results without the check-in anxiety.

Best Western Corporate Rates

Best Western’s marketing says “up to 20-25% off,” but when independent testers have run the same codes across multiple properties, most delivered around 10% off the member rate. A few delivered nothing at all—the corporate rate came back the same as the public member rate.

The table below includes only codes that can be verified against Best Western’s partner pages or the partnering organization’s resources.

Similiar to Wyndham and Choice Hotels, Best Western doesn’t get the same level of business travel as Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, or Marriott, so they don’t have as many properties that offer corporate rates.

What These Codes Actually Are

Ford’s code (00101841) is Best Western’s oldest and best-known corporate partnership. Best Western has a dedicated Ford portal at bestwestern.com/en_US/wws/fordmotorcompany.html advertising up to 20% off worldwide, along with free Wi-Fi and breakfast at many hotels. This is the one code where the “up to 20%” claim is actually backed by a primary source.

Joe’s House (01402610) is a nonprofit that helps cancer patients and their families find lodging near treatment centers. If you or a family member is traveling for cancer care, you qualify—this one isn’t tied to an employer. Best Western partners with Joe’s House through their joeshouse.org directory, which lists participating hotels near major cancer centers. The discount is modest (around 10%), but the partnership is real and the eligibility is broad.

Touchstone Energy (01399660) is a national network of 750+ electric cooperatives across 46 states serving 30+ million member-owners. If you work for or are a member of a local electric co-op (places like Pedernales Electric in Texas, Jackson EMC in Georgia, or any of the hundreds of smaller rural co-ops across the country), you likely qualify. Check with your co-op directly to confirm.

Best Western University Discounts

University partnerships with Best Western exist, but most are property-specific rather than chainwide corporate codes. The University of Washington, for example, has a verified partnership with Hotel Nexus in Seattle for 15% off—but the code is property-specific, not a chainwide discount. The University of Saskatchewan has partnerships with specific Best Western Plus properties in Saskatchewan, again hotel-by-hotel rather than a single corporate code.

What this means in practice: if you’re traveling for university business, check your school’s travel office or HR page first. The booking instructions they provide will usually be more accurate than any code floating around on aggregator sites. If you’re visiting a campus for an event (tour, conference, reunion), the event organizer typically provides specific booking links or codes that are more reliable than general university codes.

How to Book with a Best Western Corporate Code

There are two places where you enter a corporate code when booking with Best Western.

At the top of the booking page:

Go to the Best Western Booking Page. Enter your destination, then in either the check in or check out field, hit the down arrow and some additional fields will show up including the number of adults and children as well as the rates field. Click the arrow on the rates field and you will find another field where you can enter the Best Western corporate code.

On the search results page:

If you forgot to enter the corporate code on the original booking page, don’t worry, there is also another option to enter the code on the property search results page. It will be the same “rates” table as in the first example, but this time you will find it on the left side of the page instead of the top.

In an effort to give you a feel for how much you can save using a Best Western Corporate Rate, I have two examples below using the Best Western GE Rate.

Example 1: Chicago, IL – Best Western River North

When using a GE Corporate Code at the Best Western River North in Chicago, you can save 16% off the best available member rate.

Identification Requirements when Using a Corporate Code

Eligibility checks can vary by property and rate type. Some Best Western hotels may request proof of eligibility at check-in or pre-arrival (for example: a company ID/badge, business card, corporate email, or university ID for academic rates).

If you cannot verify eligibility, the hotel may reprice the reservation to a public rate or ask you to rebook.

Better Alternatives to Corporate Codes

For most travelers without a verified corporate code, two alternatives will deliver better results: Best Western Rewards member rates and the Best Western Business Advantage program.

Best Western Rewards is free to join and unlocks member-only rates that are typically 5-15% below the public rate. Members also earn points on every stay (redeemable for free nights), get access to status-based benefits, and don’t face any eligibility risk at check-in. For a single business trip, signing up takes about two minutes and immediately gets you a better price than most of the corporate codes in this guide.

Best Western Business Advantage is Best Western’s small-business program. It’s built for small and mid-sized companies that don’t have the volume to negotiate their own corporate rate but still want business-traveler benefits. Enrollment is free, and the program offers negotiated business rates, bonus points, and centralized billing. If you run a small business and travel on Best Western regularly, this is a more reliable path than trying to use a corporate code tied to someone else’s employer.

Best Western Brands to choose from

Best Western’s parent company, BWH Hotels, operates approximately 4,300 hotels across 100+ countries under 18 distinct brands. Most people only think of the core three—Best Western, Best Western Plus, and Best Western Premier—but the portfolio is significantly broader.

On the upscale and luxury side, WorldHotels covers four collections (Luxury, Elite, Distinctive, and Crafted) that lean into independent and boutique properties. BW Premier Collection and BW Signature Collection are soft brands for independent hotels that want Best Western’s distribution and loyalty program without giving up their own identity. On the value side, SureStay, SureStay Plus, SureStay Collection, and SureStay Studio cover budget-focused travelers.

The point for corporate-rate shoppers: the codes in this guide generally work across all BWH brands, not just core Best Western properties. That means a Ford corporate code could theoretically work at a WorldHotels Crafted property in Tuscany or a SureStay in a US secondary market—though individual property participation varies.
