Flight Restrictions

Etihad Airways’ student flight discounts are applicable for travel worldwide, for both one-way and return trips. The only geographical exceptions are for flights to and from Maldives and Seychelles.

The student discount does not apply to Economy Sale, Hand Baggage Only, Economy Choice Plus, or Business Choice Plus fares.

If other offers are available at the time of booking, you will not be able to combine this special offer for students with any of them. If another special offer provides a lower-priced fare for the route and date you want to fly, the student discount and extra baggage will not be applied even if you enter the promo code.

Additional Baggage Allowance

One of the perks of booking a student flight discount with Etihad Airways is the additional baggage space they give you. However, the amount of baggage space varies depending on the tickets you book.

• If you book an Economy ticket, you get an increased luggage allowance of up to 40 kg (equal to one additional piece of checked luggage).
• If you book a Business ticket, you get an increased luggage allowance of up to 50 kg (also equal to one more piece of checked baggage).

This additional baggage perk is only applicable to those traveling to and from the United States or from India to Africa. It does not apply to students traveling to and from Canada.

If the selected fare for your journey already has a checked baggage allowance, you won’t get further additional baggage allowance even when you use the promo code STU10.

The Etihad Carry-On Baggage Rules do not change with this promo code.

Student Companion Discount

If you are flying with friends or family who aren’t students, they can save up to 10% too! (applies for one additional adult).

To qualify, they must be traveling on the same booking as you, and you must present your valid student ID. If you are traveling with more than one person, your other companions must be booked separately using standard fares.

What to Bring for Your Flight

If you are unable to produce either when you check in, you will end up forfeiting the ticket and the perks that come along with it. Etihad Airways will issue you a new ticket at the cost of the applicable fare on the day of travel.

Can I Make Changes to a Student Ticket?

If you need to make any changes to your flight, you can do so via https://etihad.com/ or a customer service agent from Etihad Airways’ call centers.

In case of ticket changes (different flights, etc.), your fare will be recalculated based on the best available fare for the route and date selected. Making changes to your ticket may result in the loss of additional student baggage allowance.

• The offer comprises a fare discount of 10% in Economy and 5% in Business (exclusive of taxes and surcharges) and an increased baggage allowance of up to 40kg in Economy and up to 50kg in Business or one additional piece of checked baggage if traveling to/from the USA or from India to Africa. Additional baggage allowance does not apply to travel to/from Canada.
