Hilton “corporate codes” can be a great way to save on a stay—but they only work the right way when you’re actually eligible for the rate you’re booking. A lot of Hilton corporate rates are negotiated for specific employers or organizations, and depending on the hotel, you may be asked to confirm you qualify at check-in. That could be as simple as showing a company ID, using a business email address, or providing some other quick proof.

In this guide, we’ll cover where to enter a Hilton corporate code when you book, what “eligible” usually looks like in practice, what you should expect at check-in, and how to sanity-check the corporate rate against other legitimate Hilton discounts—like Hilton Honors member rates or AAA/CAA rates—if you don’t have an approved company rate.

What are Hilton Corporate Codes?

A Hilton corporate code is an alpha-numeric identifier linked to a company’s negotiated rate with Hilton properties worldwide. When entered in the Corporate Account or Special Rates field during booking, it signals to Hilton’s reservation system to apply the corresponding discounted rate.

These codes are typically negotiated between Hilton and an organization’s corporate travel department, and the disciplines of business travel differ significantly from those of leisure or public rate codes.

Hilton has two types of corporate rates.

  1. Business Travel: These discounts are meant to be used for business travel during the week (although they often work for weekend travel as well), and
  2. Leisure Travel: These discounts are specifically for an employee’s leisure travel.

We will explain both and provide codes and links you can use.

But first, you must know that corporate codes are only valid to the extent that the traveler can demonstrate reasonable eligibility according to Hilton’s policies and each hotel’s discretion. Hotels increasingly verify this at check-in or during pre-arrival audits.

Hilton Corporate Code Eligibility

Who Qualifies for Hilton Corporate Rates

To use a Hilton corporate rate legally and successfully, most hotels require that you can demonstrate a legitimate business affiliation with the company associated with the code.

Hotels may request one or more of the following:

  • A company ID card.
  • A business email address matching the company domain.
  • A letter or documentation confirming travel on company business.
  • Evidence from the employer’s travel department.

If you cannot demonstrate eligibility, a hotel may:

  • Remove corporate benefits attached to your reservation.
  • Change your reservation to a different rate.
  • Require a higher nightly rate

Hilton Corporate Rate Eligibility Rules (How Hilton Looks at It)

Hilton corporate rates are contractually intended for travelers who have a legitimate business or organizational relationship with the issuing company at the time of travel.

In practice, Hilton properties generally interpret eligibility as falling into one of the following categories:

  • Authorized business travel on behalf of the issuing company
  • Employee personal travel where the company’s negotiated contract explicitly allows leisure use
  • Contractors or consultants traveling under a valid business relationship

Using a corporate code without falling into one of these categories may result in:

  • Rate adjustment at check-in
  • Removal of corporate benefits
  • Denial of the negotiated rate

Importantly, simply having access to a corporate code does not guarantee eligibility. Authorization is determined by the issuing company’s agreement with Hilton and enforced at the property level.

How Hilton Enforces Corporate Rates

In recent years, Hilton and its properties have implemented more consistent verification of corporate rate eligibility. Hotels may enforce corporate codes by:

  1. Checking documentation at check-in
  2. Confirming business travel status
  3. Cross-checking the booking against corporate travel programs
  4. Auditing reservations before arrival

If a hotel determines you are not eligible, they may reprice the reservation at the best available public or loyalty rate. Unlike public promos or AAA rates, corporate codes are not guaranteed—they are contractual rate offerings tied to business use.

This is especially common at:

  • Airport hotels
  • Convention properties
  • During peak demand periods

Hilton Corporate Codes for Business Travel

Below is a list of Corporate Codes for Hilton.  If you are an employee of one of these companies or will visit them for business, you can take advantage of their negotiated rates and use the code.

The “Acquired Brands” columns represent codes that can be used at DoubleTree, Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, Embassy Suites, and Home2 Suites. (Hilton acquired these brands from Promus Hotel Corporation in 1999).

The “Hilton Brands” codes are associated with traditional and newer Hilton brands such as Hilton Hotels, Conrad, Tapestry, Tru, Waldorf Astoria, Curio Collection, and Hilton Garden Inn.

After all these years, I can’t tell you why they haven’t consolidated the corporate codes into one code per company, but they haven’t.

As a general rule of thumb:

  • If you have a corporate travel program → use the issued code
  • If you’re traveling to a company site → request the organizer’s preferred booking method
  • If you don’t have a verified corporate rate → use public discounts / SMB program options

The discount provided with these codes will vary from location to location and can be up to 50% off rack rates.

Consulting firms like Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini, and IBM have many consultants traveling every week, so they are going to have some of the best “chain-wide” or “system-wide” discounts.

However, many large corporations have many visitors traveling to their locations for meetings. In this situation, you can often get a great rate on hotels in their local headquarters vicinity—such as Proctor and Gamble in Cincinnati, Ford Motor Company in Detroit, or Harley Davidson in Milwaukee.

Hilton also offers an airline employee discount code for employees of any airline. The code for this is “AL”, regardless of the airline you work for.

How to Book with a Hilton Corporate Rate (Business Travel)

You must enter the company’s specific code in the “Corporate Account” box for the corporate rate to apply.  This box can be found when you click on the plus sign in the lower right corner of the booking table, then click on “add special rate codes” to reveal the three special rate code options. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Go to the Hilton website or the Hilton app.
  2. In the search form, select your destination and dates.
  3. Click the “Add Special Rates” field.
  4. Choose “Corporate Account” from the rate type menu.
  5. Enter the corporate code in the Corporate Account box.
  6. Click “Find Rates” to see available discounted rooms.

Not all properties will show the corporate rate for every code, even if a rate exists—availability may vary by date, property type, and occupancy levels.

How to enter the Hilton Corporate Discount Codes
Enter the Corporate Code in the Corporate Account box.

Enter your destination and travel dates, then add the code in the Corporate Account box. Click the “find it” button, and the hotels offering that rate will appear.

An added benefit is that, unlike discounts offered through Online Travel Agents (OTAs), corporate rates allow you to save money, and Hilton Honors members can receive Hilton Honors Elite Benefits, AND earn Hilton Honors Points.

Hilton Corporate Discounts for Leisure Travel

Hilton also offers negotiated leisure discounts with some companies. These leisure discounts often do not require entering a code manually—Hilton’s booking interface pre-populates the discount when you use the company’s dedicated landing page.

However, leisure corporate discounts:

  • Are typically smaller than business negotiated rates
  • Have stricter blackout periods
  • May still require documentation upon check-in

Hilton doesn’t have a special name for these rates, but it is essentially the same concept as Marriott’s Breakaway rates.

Below is a list of over 200 companies negotiating leisure rates with Hilton. The links in the table will take you to the company’s leisure discount landing page, which includes the specifics of its program and benefits.
