We spent five nights in a three-bedroom condo at the 1 Hotel Miami in February with our Inspirato Pass membership. The three-room setup was perfect for the trip. We had our son and a couple of friends fly in from Arizona to stay with us, and our daughter and her friends would come over during the day from the University of Miami.
The hotel and the condo lived up to the high expectations. They were a nice change from some of the other Miami Beach properties we have stayed at, such as Faena and Acqualina (a bit further north), which were excellent properties but did not have enough space for a large group, as they were traditional hotels without multi-bedroom options.

Location
1 Hotel South Beach is located at 2341 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, occupying an entire city block with 600 feet of private beachfront facing the Atlantic Ocean. With sweeping views of the Atlantic, Biscayne Bay, and Downtown Miami, and a large, beautiful white sand beach, it’s in one of the best locations in South Beach!

Lobby
The lobby at 1 Hotel South Beach immediately reflects the property’s emphasis on sustainability, wellness, and nature-inspired design. The space feels open and peaceful, with natural materials used throughout to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

In addition to seating, the lobby includes a coffee bar, Neighbors Cafe, and the Drift Lobby bar. It’s a pretty quiet place in the morning, but it gets very active as the day goes on, especially in the evening.

Rooms and Suites
We stayed in a three-room condo, booked via our Inspirato membership (Our condo is named Samba in Inspirato). However, the same condos are available when booking directly with 1 Hotels.
The traditional hotel rooms and suites are 1-bedroom or smaller. If you want a 2-3-bedroom with a kitchen, go to the “homes and penthouses” section of the booking page. These are essentially condos that are owned by individuals and offered for rent through 1 Hotels. These homes are in a separate tower with a private entrance and share all the resort’s amenities.

The homes were created by a Brazilian designer who focused on incorporating natural elements and a sense of understated luxury. The interiors feature a beach-inspired aesthetic with soft neutral tones, organic wood accents, and calming textures that reflect the surrounding natural environment.

The kitchens have clean white quartz countertops and a bright porcelain backsplash. They’re equipped with Sub-Zero stainless steel refrigerators and Bosch stainless-steel appliances for the other kitchen functions.

The balcony stretches the length of the unit with views of the Ocean and Pools. It is furnished with with a lounge sofa and table for two.

Restaurants and Bars
There is a broad range of food and drink options, from upscale restaurants to casual grab-and-go spots, all with a similar natural and sustainable vibe.
- AVIV — Modern Israeli cuisine, creative and elevated.
- Watr Rooftop — Japanese-inspired fare with ocean views from the rooftop of the hotel.
- Tala Beach — Spanish-style shared plates by the beach.
- Plnthouse Café — Healthy, organic dishes for hotel guests.
- The Sandbox — Poolside coastal-American comfort food.
- Drift Lobby Bar — Cocktails, wine, and small bites in the lobby.
- Neighbors Café — Grab-and-go snacks, coffee, and juices in the lobby.
We had dinner at Watr on the rooftop one night and ate at Plnthouse Cafe and Tala beach each day. All of the food here was very good! Plnthouse was great for a healthy breakfast or lunch.

Amenities
There are four pools, a private beach with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and private cabanas.
- Rooftop Pool – Adults only (21+), located 18 stories up on the roof, next to Watr restaurant.
- Center Pool – The Main pool near the hotel building includes a hot tub and lounge chairs with ocean views.
- Cabana Pool – Features private shaded cabanas for a more secluded and relaxing experience.
- South Pool – Closest to the beach, ideal for families or quick access to the sand.

The hotel’s fitness center, Anatomy, is huge, with approximately 14,000 square feet of space, including state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment, and free weights. There are also group fitness classes such as yoga, Pilates, and spin, or schedule personal training sessions.

Pros and Cons:
Overall, I loved everything about this place. But I would not necessarily come back. It was a great way to use my Inspirato Pass days, so if I were still an Inspirato member, I would come back. However, the rates they charge for even a basic room are incredibly high and tough to justify, so I think I am one and done, even though I loved it.
Pros and Things I liked:
- Design and Aesthetic of the property and rooms are very sophisticated and calm
- Location for South Beach is great!
- Many things to do within walking distance of the hotel
- Plenty of pool and beach options and seating – not overcrowded
- Great Gym and Wellness options
- Great Restaurants
Cons and Things that weren’t so great
- Everything is very expensive, from room rates to food and beverage
- The hotel is very trendy, which can bring a younger party crowd that some might not like (although this can be a positive for many, just not me)
