The Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme is a 156-room luxury hotel on Rue de la Paix in the 2nd arrondissement, right between Place Vendôme and the Opéra Garnier. We've stayed here a couple of times over the years—several times in the fall and again in the winter, which is what this review covers. The location is hard to beat if you want to be in the heart of Paris, near high-end shopping and major landmarks, without dealing with the tourist crowds on the Champs-Élysées.
Overlooking the Rue de la Paix, The Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme is one of the most luxurious hotels in Paris. It is consistently named to Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold Listand Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards, and was recently awarded a five-star rating, the highest distinction, as one of the official “Palace Hotels” in France.
Location
The Park Hyatt sits on Rue de la Paix in the 2nd arrondissement, right between Place Vendôme and the Opéra Garnier. This is one of my favorite locations in Paris, which is a big reason we keep coming back—you're a two-minute walk to Place Vendôme's luxury boutiques, five minutes to the Tuileries Gardens, and ten minutes to the Louvre. The area is upscale and quiet at night, which is a nice change from busier tourist zones like Saint-Germain or the Latin Quarter.

Walking is the best way to get around from here. The Opéra and Pyramides metro stops are both close if you need to use the subway, but most of what you'd want to see in central Paris is within reasonable walking distance. The Champs-Élysées is about 15 minutes on foot, and you can reach the Seine in ten minutes.
Rooms:
The Park Hyatt Paris has 156 rooms total—111 standard rooms and 45 suites. The design is Ed Tuttle's signature style: contemporary but understated, with lots of marble, neutral tones, and high Haussmann-era ceilings. Every room features heated floors, deep soaking tubs, rain showers, and limestone walls in the bathrooms, which give them a spa-like feel.
We were upgraded to a Park Executive Suite, which is about 50-60 square meters (540-645 square feet) and includes a separate living room and bedroom. The living room has a sofa, desk, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a decorative fireplace. The bedroom has a king bed and connects to a walk-in dressing room, which is genuinely useful when you're unpacking for multiple nights.

The bathroom is spacious with a deep soaking tub, separate rain shower, and heated floors. The finishes are marble and limestone throughout, which fits the understated luxury aesthetic the hotel is known for. Our suite faced the inner courtyard, which kept it quiet but also meant we didn't get views of Rue de la Paix or Place Vendôme—something worth requesting if the view matters to you.
Restaurants
The Park Hyatt has two main dining venues—Pur' for fine dining and Les Orchidées for more casual meals throughout the day. During our winter stay, they also had La Terrasse – Winter Chalet set up in the courtyard, which added a seasonal outdoor option.
Pur' – Jean-François Rouquette is the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant serving contemporary French cuisine. The dining room sits off the lobby with views into the courtyard. We haven't had dinner there during our stays, so I can't speak to the evening experience, but the restaurant handles one of the breakfast service options.

Les Orchidées is open for breakfast and lunch and sits in the courtyard. This is where we typically have breakfast during our stays. The breakfast setup is à la carte rather than buffet, which works well—you order what you want and everything comes out fresh. The menu covers classic French breakfast options plus eggs cooked to order, excellent pastries, and really good coffee. As Globalists, breakfast is included, which would otherwise run around €50-60 per person. The quality justifies the price if you're paying out of pocket, but getting it included makes the stay feel more valuable.
La Terrasse – Winter Chalet was set up in the courtyard during our winter visit—a covered, heated outdoor seating area that gave the courtyard a cozy seasonal feel. It's a nice touch for the colder months when you wouldn't normally want to sit outside.

The Lounge Bar sits near the lobby and serves cocktails and light bites throughout the day. It's small and quiet—more of a pre-dinner drink spot than a scene.

Fitness & Spa
There is a Spa and Fitness Center ” Le Spa” that is reserved exclusively for hotel guests. The spa includes a whirlpool bath, a steam room, a sauna, a gym (although it is surprisingly small), and four treatment booths, including one designed especially for couples.

Booking Options
The Park Hyatt Paris is a Category 8 property in World of Hyatt, which puts it at the top tier of the program. You have several solid booking options depending on whether you're using points or paying cash.
World of Hyatt Points: Standard rooms run 35,000-45,000 points per night depending on dates, while suites start at 48,000 points. This is expensive by points standards, but cash rates at this property regularly hit €700-1,000+ per night, so the redemption value is actually pretty good.
Hyatt Privé: The Park Hyatt Paris participates in Hyatt Privé, which is worth considering if you're paying cash. You'll get complimentary breakfast for two, a $100 property credit per stay, priority upgrade consideration, and guaranteed 4 pm late checkout. Given that breakfast here costs around €50-60 per person, the Privé benefits can easily add €300-400+ in value to a two-night stay at the same base rate you'd pay when booking directly.
Corporate Codes: If you have access to Hyatt corporate rates through your employer, you might save 10-20% off the standard rate. These can be worth checking for business travel, though you won't get the breakfast and property credit that Privé includes.
Direct Flexible Rates: Standard rates on Hyatt.com typically range from €500-1,000+ per night depending on season and room type. You'll earn World of Hyatt points and elite benefits apply.
