We stayed at the Belmond Miraflores Park Hotel for 2 nights to kick off our journey to Machu Picchu. It’s in Lima’s Miraflores district overlooking the Pacific, and while the building looks unassuming from the street, it exceeded our expectations once we were inside. This review covers the room, breakfast, amenities, and whether it’s worth booking for your trip.
If you’re considering staying here, we recommend booking the best available flexible rate through a preferred booking channel whenever possible, so you can receive extra perks (like free breakfast for two, property credit, and upgrades when available) at no additional cost. You’ll find the booking link in the table below.
Location
The Belmond Miraflores Park Hotel is a five-star luxury hotel situated in Lima’s upscale Miraflores district. It’s located on the scenic Avenida Malecón de la Reserva, with a dramatic cliffside setting overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

The location is within walking distance of parks, boutique shops, and upscale dining, as well as Lima’s cultural attractions. It’s approximately a 45-minute drive from Jorge Chávez International Airport.
Our flight landed in the evening, so we went straight from the airport to the hotel.

Lobby and Check in
When we arrived at Belmond Miraflores Park, we walked into a refined, elegantly designed lobby that blends local Peruvian touches with classic European sophistication and beautiful flower arrangements.

In one corner of the lobby, there’s a library-lounge area that feels like a private club with dark wood floors, paneled walls, oriental rugs, and a warm, intimate ambiance.

Rooms
Belmond Miraflores Park features just under 90 suite-style accommodations, all generously proportioned and designed to provide a calm, luxurious environment.
We stayed in room 801, which is a “Club Junior Suite”. Everything about this room was luxurious, from the bedding and furnishings to the marble bathroom and bath products.
Standard amenities in all rooms include bathrobes, minibar, air-conditioning or heating, in-room safe, flat-screen television, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Dining and Bars
The hotel’s main restaurant, Tragaluz, serves a fusion menu that combines Peruvian culinary techniques with Mediterranean and Asian influences. It has one of the most vibrant and colorful murals I have ever seen in a restaurant. Unfortunately, our time in Lima was limited, and we did not get to check out this restaurant. I wish we had!

At lobby level, Belo Bar offers creative cocktails, many of which showcase local ingredients such as pisco. It is a small but stylish bar to the left of the lobby library.

Breakfast is served at The Observatory on the 11th floor, where guests can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the ocean. We had breakfast here both days, and it was fantastic!

Amenities
A highlight of the property is the heated rooftop pool on the 11th floor, which offers uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean.
The hotel’s Zest Spa features treatment rooms and uses ingredients sourced from Peru and the Amazon region. The fitness center contains modern cardio equipment, weight machines, and strength-training gear.

Concluding Thoughts
Overall, the Belmond Miraflores Park was an excellent choice for our brief stay in Lima. The location in Miraflores puts you in one of the city’s safest and most vibrant neighborhoods, the rooms were spacious and luxurious, and the rooftop breakfast with ocean views was a highlight. While we didn’t have time to explore all the hotel’s dining options or the spa, what we experienced showed attention to detail and quality service throughout. If you’re starting or ending a Peru trip in Lima, this is a solid luxury option—especially if you book through Virtuoso to get the complimentary breakfast and property credit.
